You're at the bars and drinking, or at least hanging out with a bunch of screaming alcoholic queens. (You know -- your best friends.)
You're hungry.
You need something to soak up all the demon rum you've ingested.
You have sat in a sticky barstool across the street at Tramps and are afraid to discover the source of said stickiness.
You're not seeking a Michelin-rated brasserie.
No, Sir.
You're not looking for a rack of roast lamb, nor Potatoes Dauphinoise served with a delicate, fairly dry, somewhat fruity Chardonnay on the side.
Nah, you're looking for a place that will fill your growling belly until you can sober up.
This is that place.
THIS.
You don't care that the dining room is run down to the point that it resembles a Third World emergency room.
(Fellow Yelper Carla S. used the colorful term "murder scene" to describe the grimness of the dining room. Kind of apt, really -- well, minus the blood and scattered viscera on the walls and floors.)
You don't care that you're waiting alongside two heroin addicts, a drunken drag queen named Safonda Wang, and a nervous Edmond closet case who wants you to call him "Kevin."
You want the gyros pizza with a thin crust -- trust me. (Best pie here. Yummers.)
You're not thinking about your cholesterol, honey, nor are you too worried that Kevin keeps staring at your ass while you order in line.)
You're there to eat, and that's what matters most.
Is it the best pizza in town? No.
Is it the worst pizza in town? Hell, no.
It's just good pizza that's on The Strip, and it's open when no other place save Denny's and IHOP might be.
It's all really pretty good considering that the car wash across the street used to be frequented by hustlers, smack dealers, Southern Baptist transvestites in bad Tootsie drag from Gotebo, and homeless guys who stink to high heaven and are begging for change.
Four solid stars all things considered.
Be nice.

Walking into this dingy, run-down place I feared we were making a mistake. First, the workers looked over at us but kept working, said nothing while we just stood there. When the guy finally helps us he says they only have one gyro, though I had just read from the menu they also offer a "Wild gyro." So I just had the standard gyro. When it came I commented that it had no tzatziki. He said it is on the bottom. It did have a tiny salad beneath the meat tossed in some bland white sauce. It added nothing to the flavor. Meat was cooked right with just the right amount of crispiness. A few black olives were scattered on top as if an afterthought. Most fell right off. Pita was a bit too gummy. But the main flaw was the lack of balance in flavors that usually make a gyro tasty. It was like they didn't know how to make one or maybe a first timers attempt. I had asked for extra sauce on the side but ended up with only two ketchup packets for the fries.
When you add up the lacking service, murder-scene dining room and poorly made gyro, this should be a two maybe even one star place. But I'm leaving it at three for now since I have yet to try their pizza or calzones. -

I used to love calzones when I was a kid. Then for whatever reason they became more bread than insides. Stars Pizza Cafe & Grill has reinvigorated my love of the calzone. Much more filling than bread and the bread's actually tasty as well. I honestly haven't bothered ordering anything else from here. They're that good and the price for "half" order would easily feed two healthy individuals that have some self-restraint. They're huge!
Drinks are actually decently priced for delivery. Cans are like a buck each which to me is good considering most other places are usually 1.25 or more for the same 12 oz can. -

So we walked by and thought, yum pizza and it's at a hole in the wall kinda place, so we thought it was really going to be good.
We came in, sat ourself and noticed one other table, one.
We sat for approximately 15 minutes, long enough to chat with the other table, chat with each other and take one phone call.
We never got a chance to enjoy the food as the two employees (or owners) didn't take a moment to welcome us, offer a beverage or any sort of acknowledgement we were even in the restaurant.
I love trying new places and supporting a locally owned business. Unfortunately, I can't provide any type of review on the product itself, as we finally walked out and visited a chain restaurant down the street :(
